Lindsay Talas / Buying Director

At the tender age of 17, inspired by Jilly and Oz's appearances on the Food and Drink programme, Lindsay decided a career in wine was definitely for her!

After a gap year with Oddbins where she met her husband to be, she embarked on a degree course, spending two years in Bordeaux.

Senior wine buying roles at Sainsburys and Tesco followed where Lindsay led the team launching the Tesco Finest* wine range. Lindsay also helped bring new wine regions, grape varieties and marketing ideas to the UK, most notably launching the first full range of quality screw cap wines.

Lindsay joined Thierry’s in 2004 and is now responsible for sourcing and creating wines from Italy, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Chile, and Argentina.

Outside work, Lindsay's passions are driving her Alfa Spider through country lanes and boating. At home she enjoys growing her own fruit and vegetables, cooking and sharing wines with her husband and friends.
